More Magnificent Seven recs
Because I am an evil temptress. These were all scavenged off my hard-drive, which explains why one of the links is through the wayback machine; I've been collecting Mag7 fic since 2003.

Blame by Violette.
ATF (modern AU). A disaster befalls the Seven, and the rest of them blame Ezra (who, just to make things better, was injured in said disaster). Meanwhile, Chris and Vin are being held prisoner by an evil villain. Features both h/c and my personal guilty pleasure, characters being Terribly Misjudged.

Run Like Hell, by Beth (aka Midge).
AU wherein the seven are FBI agents, on the trail of a serial killer. Ezra is the team's profiler, on the verge of emotional and physical collapse after a series of overly-demanding cases. It's set in a small Alaskan town, and occasionally reads more like an original novel than fanfic, but that's okay, because it's a good original novel. Sadly, it also suffers from a seriously annoying uploading glitch that turns all apostrophes into question marks.

Whispers of the Wind by Yolande. Murder-mystery plot with a nice side of Ezra getting beaten up.

Maze, by Yolande. Chris and Ezra are attacked, imprisoned, kidnapped then left to survive in a dark maze of underground tunnels.

Trust and Consequences, by KellyA
In the pilot episode of the series, Ezra nearly runs out on the seven, only to change his mind and return at the last minute (in time for the episode's big, dramatic showdown with the bad guys). Fans usually parallel this in the ATF-verse by having some sort of disaster or misunderstanding occur on Ezra's first mission with Team 7. This fic is one of the better examples.

And this one, Rough Beginnings by Shawna is another.

Ezra's my personal favorite, but there's also a lot of lovely Mag7 h/c focusing on Vin Tanner, the series' frontiersman/tracker character (who, by the way, has an extremely slashy friendship with gunslinger-with-an-angsty-past Chris Larabee). Sue Necessary is one of the best writers of Vin-fic out there. Here are two of hers:

Helluva Thing. Vin is terribly injured and left for dead when a bounty hunter from his past catches up to him, and the other Seven must search desperately to find and rescue him in time.

Devil's Bargain. The US Army forcibly recruits Vin (and thus, the rest of the Seven) to help track down a band of Comanche warriors, dragging some of Vin's most painful secrets out into the light of day. (Slight content warning here: the U.S. Army did some truly barbarous things to Native Americans during the 19th century, and this fic focuses on that. Go here for some real-life examples if you need more info).

'evil temptress' doesn't even cover you XD
(/me is uselessly trying to find M7 in torrents for a week)

I wonder if there's a chance that 'mongoose: a sensible man' will ever be finished? it's worst thing, being stranded in a middle of rather epic 'hurt' without any comfort to come.

and oh, Ezra is made to be Terribly Misjudged. it's so... tasty )

Both seasons are out on DVD now, and can probably be found through Amazon, if it comes down to that. They may only be available in North America region coding, though.

Eleanor's fic is like eating a bowl of chocolate cake batter -- it's almost too much of a good thing. But so chocolatey ^_^. And former Confederate soldier Ezra is one of my fic-reading kinks (my favorite of hers is the snake-bite fic with the flashbacks to the battle of Fredericksburg). And I love the bit where Buck 'kidnaps' him back to Four Corners.

I'm afraid NA coding won't help me much in Russia, but perhaps it was translated... I'll have to poke around )

I loved whole 'hallucinating' sequence of 'mongoose' to bits - the way Ezra's dreams and reality intertwine, and reactions of others. especially when he was laying 'Mitchell' to rest, while Buck was frantically clawing himself out. very, very chilling.

and now you've addicted me to 'Ezra-the-profiler' ai - I admire the way it's written, outside of usual h/c tropes, but with this creepy, detached feel that bleeds into narration. very strange, and very captivating.

I don't know if the other FBI-verse fics are still online, but I can email you the other three (Games People Play, Memories of the Dead, and the Devil's Den).

thank you! I've found them via wayback machine and reading now, and they creep me out as much as they excite me, I think )
